HR Manager
Position: Human Resources Manager
Reports to: VP of HR and Company Shareholder
Company: Premier Pan
Location: Crescent, PA
Summary
The HR Manager will lead the Premier Packaging Human Resources function for the manufacturing plant and nearby warehouse. Responsible for managing employee relations, communication, training and development, compensation & benefits administration, recruitment, staff planning, performance management, worker's compensation, payroll / HRIS, and all other HR functional areas covering approximately 175 employees.
This role reports directly to a family member shareholder and has a strong dotted line to the Bundy Baking Solutions global VP HR.
Advise management and ensure adherence to company HR policies and procedures. Provide HR leadership, support, and partnership with facility operations to achieve organizational goals. Implement corporate HR initiatives. Lead change management by improving processes and procedures and by supporting culture change initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources,
  • 5 years HR onsite in manufacturing, partnering closely with leaders and teams across one or multiple sites
  • Prior experience in a family business is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal employment law while understanding the connection to company policies and implications
  • Experience in building and sustaining positive culture and leading organizational transformation
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis in Excel and Word, Outlook, and HRIS software (preferably Paycom)
  • Ability to investigate and assess employee conflicts objectively and solve such issues using a variety of methods and tools, including coaching and conflict resolution
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including negotiation, persuasion, collaboration, and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Time management, project planning, and organizational skills required
  • Perform other HR duties and projects as needed.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or a closely related field.
  • PHR/SPHR certification is a plus
