Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on business partner, focused on building and sustaining a high-performing workforce. This role drives succession planning, employee engagement, and retention initiatives while partnering closely with regional leadership to align people strategies with business objectives across the full employee lifecycle. The HR Manager also supports benefits administration and payroll processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy, and supports recruiting efforts as needed to deliver a seamless and exceptional employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Succession Planning Engagement & Retention
  • Design and manage succession planning strategies to ensure manager continuity and long-term organizational success
  • Identify high-potential employees and partner with leaders on development plans and career pathways
  • Lead employee feedback initiatives, including surveys and action planning

Talent Acquisition
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies that attract the best talent in the marketplace
  • Analyze staffing trends in our markets and proactively address turnover risks
  • Lead employee feedback initiatives, including surveys and action planning

Employee Relations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace issues, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns, complaints, and conflicts in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
  • Support performance management, corrective action, and termination processes

Benefits Administration
  • Assist with benefits in regards to HRIS, year-end and workers compensation.
  • Participate in annual open enrollment and employee education efforts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits questions

Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
  • Support audits and regulatory requirements as needed

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and benefits administration
  • Proven experience in succession planning, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR best practices
  • Ability to travel domestically 20-30%
  • Excellent Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred
