Job Title: Technical Production Specialist (Flexible Operations)
Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile and safety-conscious Technical Production Specialist to join our high-performance manufacturing team. This is not a static role; it requires a professional who can "flow to the work," rotating between machine operation, equipment maintenance, and shipping/receiving tasks. You will be responsible for operating complex production equipment, performing routine preventative maintenance, and ensuring that all output meets rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented environment, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and is committed to continuous learning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Precision
• Machine Mastery: Safely operate and adjust production machinery according to manufacturing specifications to ensure smooth, high-quality output.
• Quality Control: Monitor production lines to identify and discard faulty products, maintaining accurate daily records for performance analysis.
• System Settings: Perform "Centerlining" (maintaining equipment within specific process variables) to ensure consistent product quality and machine reliability.
Preventative Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• CILT Protocol: Execute daily Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT) tasks to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
• Specialized Care: Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on palletizing equipment and other automated machinery to minimize downtime.
• Defect Handling: Proactively identify and resolve equipment defects through established Daily Management Systems.
Logistics & Material Handling
• Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
• Shipping & Receiving: Assist in loading/unloading operations and verify inventory accuracy against documentation.
• Cross-Training: Acquire multiple task skills to effectively backfill outages and support various production lines as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 1-2 years in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Technical Skills:
oDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer operation.
oStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility: Must be willing to flex schedules, including extended shifts, weekends, and holidays, and move to other shifts to support team training or skill balancing.
• Soft Skills:
oExcellent verbal and written communication.
oAbility to act as a role model, providing direct feedback and sharing knowledge with team members.
oStrong adaptability and a demonstrated desire for continuous learning of new work methods.
• Physical & Logistics:
oAbility to perform all physical requirements of the role in a safe and clean environment.
oMust have access to reliable transportation and be accessible by telephone.
oCommitment to punctuality and attendance as an essential job function.
