Job description

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Queensbury, New York
Reports To: Finance Director
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of company obligations for the amusement park and lodge operations. This position supports multiple departments including food & beverage, maintenance, lodging, retail, entertainment, and park operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvals
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely
• Maintain vendor files, W-9 forms, and payment records
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, discrepancies, and account inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
• Support inventory and expense tracking for park, lodge, restaurant, gift shop, and maintenance departments
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
• Assist during seasonal audits and year-end financial reviews
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Qualifications
• Associates degree in accounting or business preferred
• 1-3 years of accounts payable or accounting experience preferred
• Experience in hospitality, resort, entertainment, or amusement park operations is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a seasonal business environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
