Job description

Vice President of Lifestyle

The Vice President of Lifestyle is responsible for developing, implementing, and advancing Allegro Living's company-wide resident experience, lifestyle, and enrichment strategies. This leadership role establishes programs, standards, resources, and processes that support engaging, meaningful, and purpose-filled experiences for residents across all communities.

The Vice President of Lifestyle partners closely with community, regional, and corporate leaders to strengthen lifestyle programming, support team member development, and promote consistent service standards. This position also oversees the Director of Lifestyle and collaborates with Clinical and Memory Care leadership to develop stimulating, resident-centered programming for assisted living, independent living, and memory care residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement company-wide resident experience, lifestyle, and enrichment strategies, programs, policies, and standards.
  • Mentor, train, and support community lifestyle leaders and other team members responsible for resident engagement.
  • Establish consistent standards for community calendars, newsletters, activity evaluations, and resident programming.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of community lifestyle programs and provide guidance, resources, and follow-up support.
  • Partner with Clinical and Memory Care leadership to develop meaningful programming for residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions.
  • Inspire team members throughout the organization to create positive and memorable experiences for residents, families, prospects, and visitors.
  • Develop training materials, support resources, and tools that strengthen lifestyle programming and resident engagement.
  • Monitor lifestyle-related performance measures, service requests, recurring challenges, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support communities with program development, problem-solving, team member onboarding, and lifestyle leadership needs.
  • Assist with recruiting, selecting, and onboarding lifestyle team members when requested.
  • Partner with operational leaders to support resident satisfaction, referrals, community engagement, and occupancy goals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of senior living trends, resident preferences, regulatory requirements, and best practices in lifestyle and enrichment programming.
  • Represent Allegro Living professionally during community visits, leadership meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
  • Travel up to 50% to support communities, programs, training, and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent related experience required. A degree in gerontology, music therapy, recreational therapy, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in lifestyle programming, activities, resident engagement, or a related field.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in a similar environment preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory-related conditions preferred.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project-management abilities.
  • Ability to influence, build trust, and collaborate effectively with community, regional, and corporate leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with Company requirements.
