Summary

This role supports the safety, cleanliness, and overall resident experience at the property by combining light security patrols, resident-facing service, and routine common-area upkeep. The Resident Manager helps create a welcoming, well-maintained environment while supporting day-to-day property operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Patrol the property regularly, including common areas, hallways, entrances, and exterior grounds, to support resident and visitor safety.
  • Monitor building access points and promptly report unauthorized persons, safety hazards, maintenance issues, or lease violations to management.
  • Perform light cleaning in common areas (sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, removing litter) to maintain a clean, presentable property.
  • Support package handling, resident notices, and other operational tasks as directed by management.
  • Respond to emergencies and after-hours concerns in accordance with company policies and escalation procedures.
  • Document incidents and daily activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Experience, Education, & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in property management, security, customer service, or janitorial services preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and staff.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to work independently.
  • Working knowledge of basic safety and security procedures.
  • Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional languages a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to walk, stand, and patrol the property for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate all areas of the property.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and safety concerns when necessary.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this position is provided in the form of complimentary on-site housing, including rent and utilities, in lieu of monetary wages.
