About the Role
As a Sales Representative at Landus, you will play a vital role in both maintaining and expanding our customer base. You'll strengthen relationships with our long-standing agronomy clients while actively driving new business by identifying and pursuing growth opportunities in the marketplace. Your efforts will directly contribute to increasing Landus' presence and market share in the agronomy space. This role blends account management with proactive business development, including in-person visits to customer farms, participation in industry events, and leveraging your expertise to position Landus as a trusted partner
What will you do?
  • Maintain and Grow Legacy Accounts: Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring that their agronomy needs are met and helping them maximize the value of Landus' products and services. Focus on customer retention and satisfaction to ensure long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other Teams: Work alongside the Grain team to identify new agronomy prospects, providing expertise and insights to target high-potential leads and increase agronomy sales.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical issues, and resolutions. Ensure data is entered into the CRM system to track progress and help identify areas for further customer support.?
  • Account Management and Consultation: Provide tailored agronomy solutions to customers, ensuring their success in crop production by recommending appropriate products and services, and helping them navigate challenges like pest and disease management, soil health, and crop nutrition.
  • Farm Visits and Customer Engagement: Travel to customer farms as needed to build personal relationships, assess field conditions, and provide on-site agronomy support, ensuring clients feel supported and informed.
  • Event Attendance and Promotion: Actively participate in agronomy and industry events. Encourage and support customers' attendance at events, acting as a representative of Landus to educate and engage customers, and generate new leads.
  • Sales and Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed sales goals for agronomy products and services, tracking progress and ensuring that the pipeline is consistently filled with high-value prospects.
  • Professional Image and Representation: Represent Landus professionally to customers, members, and the public. Your appearance should be neat, clean, and professional at all times, with the expectation of wearing company-branded apparel and long pants.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in agronomy sales or account management, with a strong understanding of crop management, soil health, pest management, and other agronomy disciplines.
  • Experience working with legacy or long-term accounts, with a focus on customer retention and relationship building.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Growth Specialists and Grain Teams.
  • Ability to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present agronomy solutions clearly and effectively to customers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to visit customer farms and attend industry events.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
