Multiskilled Repairman

Job Summary
The Multiskilled Repairman is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on various equipment and machinery within the CROWN Cork & Seal USA, Inc. facility, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Job Responsibilities
* Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery, facility infrastructure, and utility systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on a diverse range of manufacturing equipment, including but not limited to presses, ovens, conveyors, and packaging lines.
* Perform repairs, adjustments, and replacements of defective parts, components, and systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
* Conduct basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed to support repair and maintenance activities.
* Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate diagnosis and repair.
* Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and lockout/tagout protocols during all maintenance and repair operations.
* Document all maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent, in the designated maintenance management system.
* Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
* Collaborate effectively with production personnel, engineers, and other maintenance team members to resolve operational issues and improve equipment reliability.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance or repair role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the following technical areas: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment malfunctions.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
* Basic welding and fabrication skills are a strong plus.
* Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
* Familiarity with preventative maintenance principles and practices.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various physical positions.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
