Job description

Repairman Class B
1. Must work in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself or others, as well as to avoid damage to equipment; must follow Basic and Specific Safety Rules for the assigned task; must complete Work Place Exams and control hazards that have been identified.
2. Must have two years' experience as repairman or one year as a repairman with an associate degree in a related maintenance field.
3. Must be able to read and work from blueprints with a minimum of supervision.
4. Must have equipment aptitude and be able to work on it with a minimum of supervision.
5. Must obey all Safety Rules and work in a manner safe for himself and those around him.
  • Must maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Must be cooperative, take directions well, and work well with other people.
  • Must be analytical, and have the ability to troubleshoot equipment failure to the extent necessary to know what is wrong with it.
  • Must be proficient in the use of maintenance tools, and the proper application of each.
  • Must show initiative and good working habits while performing his duties.
