Appliance Repair Technician

Pay Structure: Hourly pay plus performance bonuses
Super Care Appliance Repair is looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to join our growing team. We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and professional technician who takes pride in quality work, communicates well with customers, and can diagnose and repair residential appliances efficiently throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential appliances in customers’ homes while providing excellent customer service. This position is a good fit for someone who is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, organized, and able to manage their schedule and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers, and occasional HVAC units or handy tasks.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnosis, repair options, pricing, and next steps
  • Provide accurate repair estimates and collect payment or payment information when required
  • Use tablet-based software to view job details, update job statuses, document findings, and upload photos and notes
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company well in customers’ homes
  • Safely work with electrical, gas, and water connections
  • Keep company vehicle, tools, and parts organized
  • Follow company procedures for diagnostics, documentation, customer communication, and job completion
Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of appliance repair or apartment maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to use tablet-based technology
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Ability to perform physical work, including bending, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and working in tight spaces
  • Availability to work at least 5 days per week; weekend availability is optional
