POSITION SUMMARY:

The function of the Maintenance Repairman is to service and repair equipment in support of facilities, manufacturing, and inventory control operations. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical systems.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work (7am-3:15pm) 1st shift 
  • High School diploma or GED required; trade certification (Journeyman, Electrician, Mechanic, or related field) preferred 
  • Experience with CNC servicing and repair (Mazak experience preferred) 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical blueprints 
  • Must successfully pass background check, physical, and drug screening 
  • Ability to comply with company policies, including employee manual and confidentiality agreements 
  • Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating reliability and goal-oriented performance

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  •  Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment 
  • Maintenance and repair of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and all mechanical and electrical systems included therein.
  • Diagnosis, troubleshoot, and repair of all production equipment to include hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and logic issues with an understanding of root cause for preventative actions.
  • Efficiently and effectively complete maintenance work orders with minimal production downtime by coordinating with senior repairmen and department manager. 
  • Representation of the company with external contact including customer relations and vendor relations to include specialized service technicians.
  • Adequate control, protection, and use of assets of the company.
  • Follow and maintain a "Preventative Maintenance" program for all equipment.
  • Perform new equipment and fixture builds and installations to support manufacturing.
  • On-going communication with the Facilities Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisors to ensure common understanding of immediate maintenance issues affecting throughput and the delivery schedule.
  • Daily review of all new maintenance requests and ongoing maintenance projects.
  • Assist in shop 5S and organization of the facility and grounds.
  • Order repair parts, materials, supplies and services as approved while maintaining an organized maintenance inventory for high use items.
  • Support Facilities Technicians and operations as needed based on workload.
  • Maintain proper service records using CMMS to log into all information. 
  • Any other duties requested by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
