Overview

TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Accountant III. This is a contract role that is remote.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take hands-on ownership of core accounting functions — including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting — within their Workday Financials environment.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 4+ years of staff accounting experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years; CPA preferred

  • Deep, hands-on Workday Financials experience across GL, AP/AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting

  • Direct ownership of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Workday AP or implementation experience a plus; EPIC experience a bonus

What You'll Do

  • Execute and support the full month-end close process with accuracy and accountability

  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting within Workday

  • Research accounting rules and regulations and recommend appropriate treatment for accounting issues

  • Support the annual audit, budget process, and required tax filings

  • Review the work of other accountants and serve as an internal consultant on projects within your area of ownership

  • Communicate financial results and accounting processes clearly to leadership and maintain key external relationships
