Role Overview

As a Workday Accounting Center Lead Consultant, you will drive customer transformation through the revision and creation of Workday reports, and analytic solutions using Prism Analytics and Accounting Center, based on both customer requirements and our capability best practices. You will work as part of a delivery team serving customers of all sizes across multiple industries, quickly becoming a specialist within your field while providing mentorship and oversight to more junior team members.

You will extend deep reporting expertise — Advanced, Matrix and Composite Reporting, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets — into Prism Analytics and Accounting Center, building the data pipelines that transform operational data into accounting journals that hit the General Ledger. This role is vital in transforming customers’ Workday data into information that drives their business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and optimize custom Workday reports across Financials and PSA (Advanced, Matrix, Composite), Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets; configure complex Calculated Fields.

  • Translate reporting requirements into defensible, well-governed solutions, applying reporting security and data-source/sharing best practices; lead reporting workstreams on deployment engagements, prioritizing based on customer needs and complexity.

  • Build and maintain Prism ingestion tables, datasets, connections, and data change tasks that source and enrich data for Accounting Center.

  • Configure enrichment stages, mapping tables, and journal header/line rules to transform high-volume business events into detailed and summarized journals; ensure correct multi-currency precision.

  • Support the full Accounting Center lifecycle — discovery, build, batch processing, troubleshooting, error handling, and reconciliation — with a clear understanding of the accounting implications of the data being transformed, while maintaining full data lineage from journal back to source.

  • Mentor junior consultants, suggest tool/process enhancements to benefit the practice, and rotate through Consulting and AMS delivery, meeting defined SLAs.

Minimum (Essential) Requirements

  • Workday Advanced Reporting certification; essential experience in Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reporting.

  • Workday Prism Analytics certification, with demonstrable prior hands-on Prism delivery experience.

  • Solid understanding of Workday Financials

  • Strong customer orientation in an advisory environment; able to build relationships, manage expectations, and know when to escalate.

  • Clear communicator with customers and colleagues; strong commercial awareness and understanding of project/business dynamics.

  • Able to work within (remote) teams and independently, plan own workload, meet deadlines, and facilitate workshops.

  • Maintains high quality, accuracy, and confidentiality; able to travel to in-region customer sites as required.

Desirable

  • Workday Accounting Center Certification with prior delivery experience is preferred.

  • Experience in Financial Services or Professional Business Services accounting is preferred.

  • Prior experience with Workday PSA is preferred.
