The Heritage Group's HR Shared Services (HRSS) team is advancing its reporting and analytics capabilities to support the organization's continued growth. The Senior HR Reporting Analyst is the senior technical resource within HRSS for designing, building, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data outputs that inform HR and business decision-making across THG's family of companies. Workday is the system of record and primary reporting platform today, and this role is expected to be the depth expert in Workday reporting - but the role is defined by reporting and analytics capability, not by any single tool, and works across Power BI and other platforms as THG's technology landscape evolves.This role combines advanced reporting and analytics expertise with strong business acumen and data quality discipline. The Senior HR Reporting Analyst partners closely with HRIS leadership, the Systems Architect, HR Centers of Excellence, and business stakeholders to translate reporting requests into accurate, actionable, and sustainable solutions, regardless of the underlying tool. The role also provides technical mentorship to other report writers, contributes to reporting standards and governance, and helps maintain the long-term health of THG's reporting library and reporting tools roadmap - including evaluating and adopting new reporting and analytics technologies as needs change.
Essential Functions
  • -Report & Dashboard Development -Consult with report requesters to understand business needs and translate them into accurate, actionable reporting outputs.-Develop, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and data outputs - primarily in Workday, Workday PRISM, and Power BI, and Alteryx today - to meet HRSS and business needs.-Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.-Serve as a senior technical resource for complex reporting requests, including advanced calculated fields, composite reports, and matrix reporting across multiple Workday organizations.-Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, connecting Workday and other data sources into broader analytics and visualization solutions.-Support HRSS performance reporting, including operational metrics and KPI development.-Support intake process, requirements gathering and delivery of Raas reports for Operating group data warehouses.
  • Report Delivery & Data Governance -Ensure data accuracy and quality - including population filtering, organization structure validation, and requester consultation - as a standard part of every deliverable.-Contribute to and follow the HR data glossary and metrics library.-Develop, maintain, and follow reporting SOPs and documentation.-Lead efforts to maintain report library health, including retirement of unused or duplicate reports.-Conduct standard monitoring and take action on results where needed to ensure report and report tool health.-Demonstrate good judgment and discretion when working with highly sensitive HR data.-Serve as a driver of AI adoption within the team, evaluating and integrating tools that improve reporting efficiency and analytical accuracy
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement-Collaborate with the Systems Architect on the reporting tools roadmap, including adoption of new Workday reporting features, AI-enhanced reporting tools and features, and evaluation of other reporting and analytics platforms as HRSS needs evolve.-Coordinate with third-party vendors on reporting tickets as directed by HRIS leadership.-Support and actively contribute to the HR Data & Reporting Champions group.-Mentor and collaborate with other HR report writers and analysts, providing technical guidance and knowledge-sharing across reporting tools, without formal management responsibility.-Provide education and support to stakeholders on accessing and interpreting HR data through dashboards and reports.-Assess, test, and validate release impacts to Workday reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy, while supporting release activities before and after production deployment.-Perform additional duties as assigned, including continuous growth in alignment with THG's core values, competencies, and skills.

Education Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Information Systems, Data/Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Qualifications
  • Required 5+ years in HR reporting and analytics, HRIS, or a related HR systems/data analyst role.
  • Required 3+ years hands-on experience with Workday Report Writer, including calculated fields, composite reports, matrix reports, and dashboards.
  • Required Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Preferred Experience with additional reporting or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) and an interest in evaluating new reporting technologies as THG's toolset evolves.
  • Preferred Experience supporting HR data domains such as compensation, benefits, talent, workforce planning, and compliance reporting.
  • Preferred Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other report writers or analysts.
