Job Description

The National Accounts Manager is the main point of contact for large IDN/GPO customers.  The primary function of this role is to be the voice of ForTec to our customer's corporate supply chain.  The position will focus on engagement with IDN supply chains with some interaction with the GPO.  The National Accounts Manager is a highly visible position within ForTec Medical and will routinely work with sales, finance, operations, contracting, legal, and customer service to fully represent ForTec's position.  This position reports to the Director of National Accounts. The successful candidate will be someone who has had success working in a collaborative and matrixed environment to drive preference for new business and continued preference for their supported entity.

Work Locations:  The position is remote, and the person must reside in the ForTec geographic sales regions, which include the following preferred cities with access to a major airport with the ability to travel nationally:  Denver, Portland, Seattle, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Boise, and/or Phoenix.

    Qualifications

    Requirements / Preferences:

    • BA or BS, preferably in either a business or health sciences-related field
    • 5+ years with direct experience in calling on IDN level and/or GPO level contacts
    • 10+ years relevant sales/sales management experience (medical preferred)
    • Proven history with growing company product preference within aligned accounts
    • Proven history in negotiating contracts, including redlining, pricing, terms and conditions, volumes, and commitments
    • Knowledge of GPO's, RPC's, IDN's and their relationship with one another
    • Ability to work in a small company environment while advising cross-functional teams on scalable solutions
    • Verifiable ability to proficiently analyze data in Excel with pivot tables, vlookups, and similar functions
    • Superior professional presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders
    • Understanding of RFI/RFP processes and contracting
    • Background in surgery/surgical products and/or purchased services
    • Understanding of capital equipment and acquisition process/contracting preferred
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
    • Meet medical facility credentialing requirements, which include client-required immunizations
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
    • Demonstrated track record of working independently
