Fibre Federal Credit Union is seeking a Remote Deposit Specialist to work outof our Longview, WA office.
Wage Range: $20.78 - $32.47
* The range above allows our employees roomfor growth through annual merit and other pay increases based on performance. The target pay range for this position is typically within the first halfof the range. PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Remote DepositSpecialist is responsible for the daily monitoring and verification of mobile,ATM, ITM, and Merchant Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) items, including depositsflagged for negotiability concerns, fraud risk, or holds.
This role reviews items forpotential fraud, researches and responds to member and legal requests, providescopies of Credit Union records and documents, and processes items received forcollection, including foreign checks.
The position supports membersand internal departments through direct and indirect service channels byassisting with check processing, research, troubleshooting, and paymentservices inquiries. It also maintains working knowledge of electronic services suchas Zelle, Bill Pay, and Merchant RDC.
This role works closely withmembers and frontline employees to ensure accurate transaction processing,identify suspicious activity, and support risk management and fraud preventionefforts.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Review and verify merchant, mobile, ATM, andITM deposits for negotiability, fraud risk, and hold requirements;evaluate and release holds as appropriate.
โ€ข Review and fulfill members, employees, andlegal research requests by providing copies of requested documents and applyingapplicable research fees.
โ€ข Work directly and indirectly with members,staff, and management to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues relatedto card, check, and digital payment services while providing prompt,professional support to members and internal staff via phone and electronicchannels.
โ€ข MonitorMerchant Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) deposits daily,review for accuracy and variances, and make corrections as needed.
โ€ข Review and resolve outstanding PaymentServices ticket queue items, ensuring accurately and timely.
โ€ข Monitor, review, and process outgoing wirerequests submitted in branch and online banking channels.
โ€ข Research and resolve member and staffinquiries while supporting daily operations for card, check, and digitalpayment services. This includes troubleshooting and resolving issues related todraft clearing, card services, RDC, stop payments, Bill Pay, Zelle, A2Atransfers, wires, and ATM/ITM disputes.
โ€ข Provide backup support for departmentalfunctions as assigned.
โ€ข Apply sound judgment and risk analysis tosupport fraud prevention, operational accuracy, and loss mitigation.
โ€ข Provide high-quality, prompt, professional,and friendly service to members, staff, and the management team through allcommunication channels, including phone, teams, secured messaging, andin-person.
โ€ข Follow all policies, procedures, andregulatory requirements.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned bymanagement.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Possess high school diploma or equivalent
Experience -Two years of financial services experience orequivalent. Previous payment processing experience is preferred.
