Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Trauma-Focused Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' historical trauma experiences and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma-related symptoms effectively.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting healing through cognitive restructuring and emotional regulation techniques.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery for patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, equipping clients with coping strategies.
• Engage with patients’ families to enhance their understanding of trauma responses, assisting them in becoming supportive allies in the healing process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development, ensuring adherence to the latest trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. You will establish strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and respect, ultimately guiding clients toward recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in relevant fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Sound knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Advanced familiarity with resilience-building approaches and psychoeducational strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain calmness in high-pressure situations while managing client needs effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with a non-judgmental approach to therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
