Additionally, setting a structured daily routine and dedicated workspace can help maintain productivity and work-life balance.

What is a Remote Technical Contract?

A Remote Technical Contract is a work agreement where a technical professional, such as a developer, engineer, or IT specialist, provides services to a company from a remote location, rather than working on-site. These contracts are typically project-based or time-limited, specifying the scope of work, deliverables, and payment terms. Remote technical contractors often use digital communication and collaboration tools to interact with clients and teams, allowing for flexibility and access to global talent. This arrangement is common in industries like software development, IT support, and digital design, offering both companies and contractors increased flexibility and efficiency.

Job description

We are sharing a specialised full-time consulting opportunity for software engineers experienced in SaaS platform development, backend and frontend engineering, API integrations, real-time dashboards, agentic workflows, MCP-style architectures, and production-ready technical delivery.

This role supports current and upcoming remote technology consulting opportunities focused on AI-native platform development, integrations architecture, real-time analytics, agentic tool-use workflows, product launch support, and high-quality software execution. Selected professionals will contribute to end-to-end engineering work across platform foundations, data models, APIs, dashboards, workflow systems, and integration layers.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

AI-Native Platform Development

  • Build core platform foundations including entities, workflows, permissions, multi-tenant structures, and production-ready application features
  • Ship end-to-end product functionality across backend and frontend systems
  • Develop scalable data models, APIs, user-facing workflows, and internal product surfaces
  • Support pilot launches through hands-on implementation, debugging, iteration, and user-driven improvements

Integrations, APIs & Agentic Tool Architecture

  • Design and implement integration layers connecting common business tools, external APIs, event ingestion systems, sync workflows, and action frameworks
  • Work with OAuth2, webhooks, API pagination, rate limits, sync semantics, connector design, and integration reliability
  • Build MCP-compatible or MCP-style tool interfaces, tool registries, runtime patterns, permission layers, and observability flows
  • Support agentic workflows that allow software systems to interact safely and reliably with external tools

Analytics, Engineering Quality & Technical Delivery

  • Build real-time analytics dashboards with live metrics, drill-downs, exports, and stakeholder-facing reporting surfaces
  • Set up strong engineering hygiene including testing, observability, deployment readiness, and pilot-stage reliability
  • Review technical tradeoffs, unblock implementation issues, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • Maintain high standards for correctness, maintainability, speed, and practical product execution

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Strong practical software engineering experience with the ability to ship end-to-end product features
  • Experience building SaaS products with APIs, data models, authentication, production constraints, and user-facing workflows
  • Deep comfort with integrations, including OAuth2, webhooks, third-party APIs, rate limits, event ingestion, and data sync logic
  • Familiarity with backend and frontend engineering across modern web application stacks
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools effectively while maintaining strong judgment around tests, interfaces, and guardrails
  • Clear communication skills and ability to explain technical tradeoffs to product, engineering, and stakeholder teams

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, data systems, or a related technical field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in SaaS engineering, platform development, integrations engineering, full-stack development, backend systems, or AI-native product work is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MCP-style tool interfaces, tool servers, agent frameworks, workflow automation, or AI-native product architectures
  • Familiarity with React, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, observability tools, or modern SaaS infrastructure
  • Experience building dashboards, analytics surfaces, integration frameworks, event-driven systems, or multi-tenant platforms
  • Background in startup engineering, product engineering, platform teams, developer tools, internal tools, or AI workflow products
  • Strong attention to detail in fast-moving, production-focused, integration-heavy software environments

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply software engineering expertise to AI-native platform and integrations development
  • Contribute to high-quality SaaS infrastructure, real-time dashboards, agentic workflows, and production product delivery
  • Work on remote technical assignments aligned with modern AI and platform engineering practices
  • Use your engineering judgment in a focused, fast-moving product development environment
  • Remote structure with competitive hourly compensation

Contract Details

  • Full-time consulting-style engagement
  • Fully remote role
  • U.S.-based professionals preferred depending on project requirements
  • Competitive rates between $95โ€“$140 per hour depending on expertise
  • Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or adjusted depending on scope and performance
  • Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution
