Overview
How you can make a difference
The Senior Product Compliance Analyst leads advanced Product Compliance activities to assure HealthEquity's administrative solutions (e.g., Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements, Flexible Spending Arrangements, Dependent Care Assistance Programs, qualified transit and parking plans, COBRA and state continuation coverage) align with applicable laws, regulatory standards, and internal policies. This role serves as a senior point of escalation and applies expert regulatory judgment to risk assessments, compliance monitoring, investigations, and corrective action development. Work is performed in an environment where AI-enabled tools are standard, accelerating synthesis, documentation, and analysis so that maximum effort is afforded to judgment, decision-making, and influence. Success in this role is defined by the Senior Product Compliance Analyst's ability to anticipate risk, guide others, and deliver defensible compliance outcomes at scale. This role typically reports to the Director of Product Compliance.
What you'll be doing
  • Lead and support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the Product Compliance program and productivity elements, including policies, procedures, training, monitoring, investigations, reporting frameworks, and AI-powered tools to facilitate repeat efficiency gains.
  • Apply expert regulatory judgment to complex compliance inquiries and escalations, synthesizing facts and regulatory authority (often AI-assisted) into clear decisions, conclusions, and defensible rationale.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, testing, reviews, and investigations to identify control gaps, assess risk exposure, and support timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide support across key Product Compliance operational domains, which may include Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) reporting, Compliance Change Management (CCM), and complaint investigation and response activities.
  • Support the use of AI-enabled tools and automation within Product Compliance ensuring they are integrated as standard infrastructure to drive consistency, improve documentation quality, and enable scalable analysis, while maintaining full human accountability for interpretations, decisions, and outputs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to incorporate compliance requirements into strategic initiatives, operational changes, and third-party relationships, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and translated into effective execution.
  • Prepare and review compliance reports, briefings, and narratives for leadership and - where applicable - regulatory or enforcement bodies.
  • Maintain compliance logs, records, and documentation standards, ensuring audit-ready quality and consistency across the Compliance team.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual Compliance Roadmap and strategic initiatives, using data, trend analysis, and risk insight to inform priorities.

What you will need to be successful
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • 5+ years of equivalent work experience in a risk management, insurance, governance, compliance, audit, finance, or project management role
  • Previous experience in compliance in the healthcare or financial services industries
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFC, HSAS, CAS) are a plus
  • Previous experience coordinating or managing cross-functions projects
  • Deep expertise in employee benefits compliance and related regulatory frameworks (including HSA, FSA, HRA, COBRA, and applicable federal and state requirements).
  • Ability to treat AI-enabled tools as standard compliance infrastructure, using them to scale analysis, documentation, and insight while maintaining full accountability for conclusions and decisions.
  • Strong risk judgment and business acumen with the ability to design scalable, auditable compliance processes that balance regulatory requirements and operational needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex compliance concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including coaching others, setting quality standards, and influencing outcomes without reliance on positional authority.
  • Strong customer-service orientation paired with professional skepticism and regulatory discipline.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, including staying current on regulatory developments and evolving compliance technologies
