Position: Parking Enforcement Officer
Location: [Raleigh/Durham]
Department: Parking/Traffic Control
Salary: Base pay of $15/hour plus paid violation commissions. Our enforcement staff averages $20-$25/hour or more, depending on performance.
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time, Day, Nights & Weekend shifts available.
About Us: We are committed to maintaining safety, order, and accessibility in our parking lots. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that parking regulations are adhered to, contributing to a safe and efficient environment for all residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce parking regulations across designated areas within the city.
  • Walk parking lots with a trash picker and bucket to pick up trash, bottles, litter, cigarette butts, and other debris.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the parking enforcement vehicle by removing trash and restocking it with necessary parking supplies.
  • Use parking enforcement software devices to scan license plate numbers and identify illegally parked or non-paying vehicles.
  • Issue citations for parking violations, including expired parking sessions, illegal parking, and other infractions.
  • Maintain a clean and neat parking enforcement issued uniform at all times.
  • Assist in traffic control during special events or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of enforcement activities and prepare reports as required.
  • Collaborate with other public safety officials to ensure a coordinated approach to traffic and parking management.

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of local parking regulations and traffic laws.
