Who We're Looking For

As a Software Quality Assurance Manager atย RF-SMART you will lead the quality engineering efforts thatย build the future of RF-SMARTย products focused on supply chain in multiple industries acrossย mobile, web and server components while working with a greatย team. We're looking for someone who can help our team growย confidently by evaluating and identifying demands of future roadmap and product delivery needs against resources, capacityย and velocity of the QA team, as well as facilitateย career growth for direct reports to help meet that demand andย foster professional development.

You will own the quality softwareย development process and contribute directly to the culture ofย quality within RF-SMART through process improvements,ย departmental outreach, and mentoring. As part of our growth, you will take on, hire,ย and directly manage a cross-functional team of QA engineers focused on product, web, desktop, mobile, server, andย integration testing across manual and automated testing suites. You will also help secureย cross-department resources, manage trade-offs for delivery, keep stakeholders accountable, meet deadlines, communicate at theย executive level on project status and risk, and measure teamย impact and needs.

This team is a hybrid team with both in-office and fully remote, full-time team members potentially around the world. This position will report to the Director of QA - Product Engineering.

What You'll Do:

  • Hireย and develop our team of QA Engineers across industries and disciplines.
  • Setย and report on measurable goals and objectives for the team.
  • Setย weekly and monthly priorities for the QA team andย individual team members.
  • Withย feedback from the team, leadership, and external stakeholders,ย own the quality process, procedures and decision supportย for product testing and automation.
  • Evaluate,ย recommend, and implement tools to help facilitateย team success.
  • Provideย a point of authoritative knowledge to helpย address technical orย administrative hurdles the team may encounter.
  • Facilitateย and encourage collaboration through team meetings or otherย communication channels as necessary, as well as conductย team building activities.
  • Reportย on team progress, status, and roadblocks to management from theย quality assurance lens.
  • Advocateย for and on behalf of the QA team and the constructionย and delivery of RF-SMART's product, processes, and organization.
  • Conductย one-on-one meetings with direct reports to work on issues,ย provide and receive feedback and discuss individualย professional development goals and opportunities.
  • Performย annual or semi-annual performance reviews when required.
  • Activelyย participate in backlog grooming, planning, and deliveryย activities.
  • Define and track software quality metrics.
  • Identify gaps in the quality assurance and testing processes, generate solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the long-term career development of your direct reports; helping them build their skills in software testing and automation.
