Job description

We have a contract opportunity for Manhattan WMOS 2017 Consultant (Remote) with one of our clients in IL. Detailed job descriptions is provided below.

Location: Remote (Travel to Skokie, IL required during Go-Live)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Visa: Citizen OR Green card due to nature of Job
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manhattan WMOS 2017 Consultant with strong expertise in Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration and warehouse automation projects. The consultant will play a key role in validating end-to-end warehouse operations, system integrations, and supporting deployment activities for a large-scale automation initiative.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business, warehouse operations, automation, and development teams.
  • Validate and support integrations between Manhattan WMOS 2017 and various MHE/automation systems.
  • Perform functional testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Create and execute test scenarios covering inbound, outbound, inventory, replenishment, and shipping processes.
  • Troubleshoot interface and integration issues involving conveyors, sorters, ASRS, scanners, PLC-controlled equipment, and other automated warehouse solutions.
  • Support defect management, test documentation, and business sign-offs.
  • Provide production cutover and Go-Live support during warehouse implementation.

Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Manhattan WMOS 2017.
  • Deep understanding of warehouse automation and MHE integrations.
  • Experience with WMS-to-MHE communication and interface testing.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes:
    • Receiving
    • Putaway
    • Replenishment
    • Picking
    • Packing
    • Shipping
    • Inventory Control
  • Experience in Functional Testing, SIT, Integration Testing, and UAT.
  • Ability to analyze interface logs, troubleshoot integration issues, and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Experience supporting warehouse Go-Live activities.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous warehouse automation implementation projects.
  • Experience with conveyor systems, sortation systems, ASRS, robotics, RF devices, or PLC-based integrations.
  • Exposure to WCS/WES solutions is highly preferred.
