Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough interviews and evaluations with clients and their families to identify social, emotional, and economic factors that may affect their ability to access and benefit from medical care.
• Provide telehealth services by employing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues related to traumatic experiences and substance use.
• Research, connect clients with, and advocate for local community resources such as food assistance, childcare, and healthcare services to promote overall well-being.
• Respond effectively to crises, including mental health emergencies and incidents of child abuse, ensuring the safety and support of affected individuals.
• Monitor clients' progress through follow-up assessments and continue to provide guidance and support to help them navigate life challenges such as illness, job loss, or relationship issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have a focus on supporting individuals and families facing a variety of challenges, particularly those dealing with substance use disorders, mental health issues, and trauma. Our clientele includes children, adults, and families, as well as veterans who may require specialized support and interventions tailored to their unique experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid California LCSW license.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing mental health services, preferably in a health-related setting.
• Prior experience working with veterans is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Department of Mental Health billing procedures and requirements.
• Experience in parent-child intervention and knowledge of normal child development and child welfare issues.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, enabling effective counseling and advising of clients.

Preferred Experience

• A history of successful case management in a telehealth environment.
• Experience employing trauma-informed care in therapeutic practices.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral pathways to support diverse clients effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience.
