Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Business Platforms - Product Management will partner closely with the AVP of Business Platforms to design, implement, and optimize digital products that support genomic laboratory operations. This leader will drive product strategy and execution across key operational domains including Client Services, Revenue Cycle Management, and Sample Management.
The role requires strong expertise in healthcare/laboratory operational platforms, enterprise integrations, and digital product leadership. The ideal candidate combines deep product management experience with an understanding of scientific and laboratory workflows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead product strategy, roadmap development, and execution for business platforms supporting genomic laboratory operations.
  • Collaborate with the AVP of Business Platforms and cross-functional stakeholders to identify operational needs and translate them into scalable digital solutions.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management from ideation through implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
  • Drive platform modernization and integration initiatives across:
    • CRM and client engagement systems
    • Revenue cycle management platforms
    • Laboratory accessioning and sample management systems
    • Reporting platforms
  • Partner with laboratory operations, client services, billing, reimbursement, IT, engineering, and external vendors to improve workflow efficiency and user experience.
  • Manage integrations involving:
    • Salesforce
    • Quadax/CareViso/Xifin or Equivalent RCM platforms
    • Sample Management and laboratory operational systems
  • Define product requirements, business cases, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Lead Agile product management practices including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure platforms meet compliance, security, and operational reliability requirements in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Mentor and guide product managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of digital product management experience.
  • Strong experience supporting healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, or genomic operations.
  • Experience managing enterprise business platforms and operational workflows.
  • Proven expertise with CRM, revenue cycle management, and operational systems integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in science field or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in genomics, molecular diagnostics, or clinical laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with laboratory accessioning workflows and sample lifecycle management.
  • Experience with reimbursement and prior authorization workflows.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and integration technologies.
