What is a remote risk?

Remote Risk jobs are positions in risk management that are performed entirely or mostly from a remote location, rather than in a traditional office setting. These roles involve identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could affect a company’s operations, finances, or reputation. Common tasks include analyzing data, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Remote Risk professionals often use digital tools and platforms to communicate and collaborate with their teams. This flexibility allows companies to access a broader talent pool and enables employees to work from anywhere.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote risk analyst?

To thrive as a Remote Risk Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, knowledge of risk management principles, and typically a degree in finance, business, or a related field. Familiarity with risk analysis software, data visualization tools, and certifications like FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are often required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and self-motivation are vital soft skills for collaborating remotely and ensuring thorough risk assessments. These abilities help identify potential threats, support informed decision-making, and maintain organizational resilience in a remote work environment.

How does a remote risk professional typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to address potential threats?

Remote Risk professionals often work closely with IT, compliance, legal, and operations teams to identify and mitigate potential threats. Collaboration typically involves regular virtual meetings, sharing risk assessments, and developing response strategies using digital communication tools. As a remote worker, strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to ensure all stakeholders are informed and aligned on risk management practices. Effective collaboration also means proactively seeking input from various departments to build a comprehensive risk profile and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Job description

Position Overview

Vatica Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Savannah, Georgia. This full-time, remote position allows you to provide crucial mental health support through telehealth services. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will conduct thorough psychosocial assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and be at the forefront of improving patient well-being. Our competitive salary range is between USD 90,000 and 100,000 per year, reflecting the valuable expertise you will bring to our organization.

About the Organization

Vatica Counseling Center is committed to enhancing mental health accessibility and quality through innovative telehealth solutions. Our experienced teams leverage technology to deliver comprehensive care that meets the unique needs of our diverse client population. We prioritize collaboration, resilience, and holistic approaches to mental wellness, ensuring that both clients and practitioners thrive in a supportive environment. Our practice emphasizes the importance of integrating evidence-based therapies with client-focused strategies, bridging gaps in traditional mental health services.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your caseload from the comfort of your own home, while still providing critical support to your clients. Your work will be carried out through a user-friendly telehealth platform that is HIPAA-compliant, ensuring patient confidentiality and security. You will benefit from a seamless case management system that facilitates efficient documentation and communication with clients, fostering a smooth workflow within your day-to-day responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and changes in patient status.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders, ensuring that treatment approaches are tailored to meet each patient's unique needs.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate community resources, treatment programs, or support groups to enhance patient well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers and community agencies, to establish a comprehensive discharge plan that upholds continuity of care.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies as guided by the Mental Health Practice Act.
  • Organize and prioritize daily workloads by evaluating the needs of new, current, and transitioning patients to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling, including bereavement services, and actively participate in social work consultations as required.
  • Engage in proactive discussions with patients and families, acting as an advocate to champion their healthcare needs and improve communication across care teams.
  • Recognize and address risk factors related to patient care, enabling timely and effective solutions for those at risk of extended stays or readmissions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on clients from diverse backgrounds facing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional disturbances. The remote nature of our services ensures that we reach individuals who might otherwise face barriers to accessing mental health support. You will play an essential role in guiding them on their journey toward recovery by providing compassionate therapy in an accessible format.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist.
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources and support services.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, necessary for effective client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in telehealth or virtual counseling settings.
  • Prior experience with diverse patient populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and comprehensive treatment planning.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
  • No overhead costs; we provide administrative support, insurance eligibility checks, and client matching services.
  • Access to an easy-to-use telehealth platform that streamlines case management and documentation.
  • Flexible working hours to engage with clients at your convenience.
  • Opportunity to choose your caseload, enabling you to tailor your practice to your interests and financial goals.
  • Additional income potential based on workload and performance.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Vatica Counseling Center, we are committed to the professional growth of our team members. We encourage continuous learning through workshops, training sessions, and access to the latest tools in telehealth technology. As part of your career development, you will have opportunities to assume leadership roles, engage in community outreach programs, and contribute to research initiatives that inform best practices in mental health care.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Vatica Counseling Center, you are becoming part of a progressive and supportive mental health community dedicated to transforming lives. We recognize the growing importance of telehealth and strive to eliminate barriers to care. You will be empowered to make a difference in your clients’ lives while enjoying the benefits of flexibility, innovative technology, and a collaborative working environment.
