Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments, to develop a comprehensive understanding of each clientโ€™s needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that respect their specific challenges, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), in various therapy formats such as individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress while working closely with other healthcare professionals to stabilize and support them.
  • Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in line with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines, including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Empower clients and their families through psychoeducation, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to manage their mental health challenges effectively.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of treatment effectiveness, making data-informed adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with current mental health research and best practices, integrating this knowledge into your clinical practices.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients, including those dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Your empathetic approach and respect for cultural nuances will enhance our mission to provide a safe space for healing and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in New York State.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
