• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their unique mental health needs and develop tailored therapeutic interventions.
• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling to support clients coping with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, ensuring a personalized approach that aligns with best practice methodologies.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions, including support groups and psychoeducational workshops, fostering a safe environment for shared experiences and communal healing.
• Craft and implement detailed treatment plans that set measurable objectives and incorporate evidence-based practices to reach those goals effectively.
• Assist clients in crisis situations through immediate support, performing risk assessments, and coordinating emergency interventions as necessary for their safety.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training to remain current with evolving best practices in mental health care, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and optimal treatment outcomes for clients.

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various age groups and socio-economic backgrounds, each facing distinct mental health challenges. Our clients often seek therapy for conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance abuse. As a counselor, you will play an instrumental role in helping them manage their symptoms and achieve meaningful progress toward their mental health goals.

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid mental health counselor license to practice in New York State.
• A minimum of three years of supervised clinical experience, aligning with state licensing requirements.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development to maintain licensure and enhance therapeutic skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and counseling skills to engage effectively with clients in a compassionate manner.
