Position Overview

Greystone Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate mental health care and therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to identify their mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling sessions, addressing a spectrum of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction through evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions that foster community, support, and education among participants facing similar mental health challenges.
• Implement ongoing monitoring and updates to treatment plans to track client progress and make necessary adjustments based on their evolving needs.
• Respond promptly to crisis situations, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating interventions, ensuring clients receive immediate support when needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions and workshops to stay abreast of current trends and innovations in mental health care.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure a seamless continuum of care for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Greystone Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population ranging from adolescents to adults, encompassing various socioeconomic backgrounds and mental health diagnoses. Our clients often seek assistance with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders, allowing you to apply your expertise in a meaningful way that contributes to each individual's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York is required, with the ability to meet all state-specific licensing criteria.
• A minimum of three years of supervised clinical experience, which must include meeting state regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, including participation in relevant continuing education opportunities to maintain licensure.

Preferred Experience
