• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand the mental health needs of clients, utilizing structured interviews and standardized assessment tools.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based interventions tailored to address various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress.
• Design personalized treatment plans that reflect client goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds, ensuring an individualized approach to therapy.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress, assessing safety and risk factors in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate clients about their diagnoses, therapy processes, coping skills, and community resources to foster informed decision-making.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Uphold ethical and legal standards in therapy practices, ensuring informed consent and client confidentiality at all stages of care.
• Exhibit cultural competence, effectively interacting with clients from various backgrounds and recognizing the importance of social determinants of health in mental wellness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and administrative personnel to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, with a strong focus on evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Previous experience in a telehealth environment, demonstrating proficiency with virtual therapy platforms and remote client engagement strategies.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based practices.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to comprehensive treatment strategies.
