Job description

Title: RFP Team Member #100081

Location: remote but must CURRENTLY sit in and work in PST

Pay: $30/hr w2 (exact rate no flex)

Screenings: tech prior to submission, full panel drug and background once hired

IV process: 2 rounds

+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time


Must Haves:

  • 2+ YOE min (ideally 5+)
  • Bachelors degree
  • Knowledge of local laws and public sector procurement rules and regulations;
  • experience in project delivery and solution development in the Public Cloud industry (IaaS, iPaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Location: US West Coast remote
  • 5+ years of experience in a proposal development/bid management role selling products and services responding to government solicitations under a direct and indirect contracting model
  • 5+ years of experience in the technology consulting industry in a writing role supporting responses for government organizations
  • Past experience establishing bid practices within an organization from the ground up, working independently to establish, foster and expand relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience with technical writing for proposing system integrations, consultations, or project management in cloud Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) area is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Google Suite (Gdocs, Gsheets, Gchat)
  • Self motivated to excel in a remote position collaborating effectively with a remote team; possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime if necessary.

We are looking for a talented, hardworking, individual with great energy, and initiative to provide RFx bid management support within a shared-services RFx/bid management team. This includes best practices that value the time, skills, and experience of all the resources needed to prepare RFx submissions in support of RFx processes where needed, co-delivering knowledge transfer to our growing sales teams, and co-developing learning assets. Curate relevant content to support RFx responses and act as a knowledge repository for go to market activities. Work with Sales team and Business Development to pre-position and seed RFx process to influence customer perception, improve RFx win rate, and avoid RFP process. This role requires equal parts organization, attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution, knowledge of the procurement process in a public sector marketplaceThis role requires equal parts organization, attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution, knowledge of the procurement processes in the public sector marketplace, and ability to simultaneously handle a variety of requests/projects across a broad spectrum of topics with differing priority levels and deadlines. Responsibilities:

  • As a subject matter expert, you will coordinate and develop content for public sector RFx responses and proposals to include SaaS/PaaS solutions, manage the submission response, and create bid/response plans and schedules. Creating milestones, navigating bid strategy, and organizing bid plan to distribute to the internal stakeholders, and co-developing the RFx responses with the AE/Solutions team is the core responsibility for this role.
  • Manage/track all aspects of content preparation, revision, and submission; collaborate and coordinate inputs from sales, solution engineering, security, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Simultaneously coordinate across multiple internal/external bidding partners at once where required; and coordinate internal content reviews with executive management and legal.
  • Structure, edit, and format all types of response content (general, functional, technical), tailoring the content around the customer requirements, and remain current on all amendments and modifications. This also includes participation in the development of proposals, win themes, and executive summary sections and sharing best practices with team members to enhance the quality and efficiency.
  • Leverage AI to create baseline content for high-volume sections, such as project backgrounds, executive summaries, or standard corporate capability descriptions, to reduce initial writing time.
  • Understanding the public sector procurement practices from a business perspective along with technical architecture view, and building relationships and work cross-functionally with a diverse set of business partners in internal and external ecosystems.
  • Support the growth and expansion of RFx practices and processes in potentially other markets, including potential people managing and coaching other RFx analysts.
  • Time manage, adapt, and communicate by prioritizing projects, thriving in dynamic environments, solving challenges, managing complex processes, and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.



Highly Desirable skills:

  • Past experience and/or knowledge of local laws regarding various public sector procurement rules and regulations
  • A broad knowledge of Salesforce applications is highly desired or transferable job experience for other, similar cloud-based solutions such as other CRM/BI/BPM or relative solutions (e.g., Microsoft, Hubspot, Google, etc).
  • APMP certification and/or PMP certification
