About Our Client:

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing healthcare organization seeking a Revenue Cycle Support Specialist to support payer administration, reimbursement processes, and business office operations. This is a remote, contract-to-hire opportunity for someone with strong medical billing and insurance knowledge who enjoys problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Description:

The Revenue Cycle Support Specialist will serve as a key resource for payer enrollment, portal administration, reimbursement research, and revenue cycle support. This role partners with business office leadership, billing teams, and insurance payers to resolve reimbursement issues, maintain payer access, analyze payment trends, and support ongoing operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate EFT enrollments, payer registrations, and insurance portal setup.
  • Manage payer portal access, including user accounts, password resets, and maintenance.
  • Support credentialing activities and other business office administrative projects.
  • Research Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and workers' compensation reimbursement updates.
  • Communicate directly with insurance carriers to resolve claim and payment issues.
  • Review contracts, fee schedules, and reimbursement rates to identify payment discrepancies.
  • Investigate underpayments, identify payer trends, and escalate recurring issues.
  • Prepare and submit payer appeals and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain payer reference materials, internal documentation, and business office resources.
  • Generate reports related to AR aging, billing activity, reimbursement trends, and payer performance.
  • Partner with cash posting teams on EDI and EFT enrollment activities.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and development of internal business office procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Previous healthcare revenue cycle or medical billing experience required.
  • Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end revenue cycle functions.
  • Experience using payer portals for eligibility verification, claim status, and benefits research.
  • Familiarity with Availity or similar payer portal platforms.
  • Knowledge of EFT enrollment processes and payment reconciliation.
  • Ability to interpret managed care contracts, reimbursement policies, and fee schedules.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices, and insurance workflows.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment after training.

Additional Details:

  • Contract-to-hire opportunity.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST
  • Approved 7:30 AM start time available if established upon hire.
