Payroll Analyst (Records Management)


Location: 100% Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)
Type: W-2 Contract | 3–6 Months | $21.88/Hour
 


Job Summary:

We’re seeking experienced Payroll Analysts to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience auditing, reconciling, and analyzing payrolls for large, multi-state employee populations using ADP EV5 and preferably Workday or other enterprise-level payroll systems.

This role is 100% remote, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere in the U.S.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and validate payroll runs for accuracy and compliance.

  • Reconcile payroll data with general ledger and financial reporting systems.

  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and complex tax issues.

  • Support quarter-end and year-end activities (e.g., W-2 balancing, filings).

  • Generate and analyze payroll reports, metrics, and insights for leadership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HRIS, Benefits, and Finance teams.

  • Ensure adherence to payroll controls, compliance standards, and process documentation.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on payroll analysis and reconciliation experience.

  • Strong experience with ADP Enterprise V5 (EV5).

  • Experience managing payrolls for large, multi-state populations (5,000+ employees).

  • Familiarity with Workday or other enterprise payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ceridian, UKG).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).

  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, tax, and compliance regulations.

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field preferred.

  • CPP certification a plus.
