NOW HIRING! Project Reconciliation Analyst

Direct Hire | Remote | $60,000 - $70,000


Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with experience in the clinical research industry? We are seeking a Project Reconciliation Analyst to join a growing organization and serve as a critical financial partner supporting clinical research projects. This role offers the opportunity to manage project finances, reconcile revenue, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary financial contact for assigned clinical research projects.
  • Review contracts, work orders, and amendments to identify financial terms and billing requirements.
  • Analyze project financial data to optimize performance and identify potential budget concerns.
  • Perform financial quality control reviews to ensure accurate revenue recognition and invoicing.
  • Reconcile study visit data with Sponsor/CRO Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
  • Ensure all billable activities and non-visit revenue are properly invoiced and documented.
  • Identify revenue discrepancies and communicate adjustments to leadership.
  • Prepare monthly revenue files for accounting and ERP processing.
  • Generate and distribute monthly billing statements to sponsors and CROs.
  • Partner with cash application and collections teams to resolve payment issues.
  • Assist with project close-out audits and revenue integrity reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, sponsors, CROs, and external stakeholders.
  • Support additional financial and project-related initiatives as needed.


Qualifications

  • Clinical Research or Clinical Industry experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, revenue cycle, billing, or a related field.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Experience communicating professionally with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable, revenue reconciliation, cash applications, or billing.
  • Experience reviewing budgets, contracts, and financial documents.
  • Clinical Research Organization (CRO), sponsor, site, or related life sciences industry experience.
  • Experience with project finance, revenue management, or financial reporting.
  • Exposure to clinical trial management or reconciliation systems.
