• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use histories, identifying co-occurring disorders.
• Engage with clients to create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, addressing both mental health and substance use needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions that help clients develop vital coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring that clients receive holistic treatment from diverse perspectives.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support and encourage clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families on the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress and interventions, complying with ethical and legal standards within the mental health profession.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions aimed at enhancing treatment methods for co-occurring disorders.

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, which encompass the intersection of mental health issues and substance use challenges. This complex client population requires a nuanced understanding of both fields, where your expertise will significantly impact their recovery trajectories. You'll work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet each client's unique needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• Proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A solid understanding of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience working with clients diagnosed with co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for efficient service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate care with medical professionals and community partners.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
