Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized mindfulness-based treatment plans that address various client challenges to promote stress reduction and resilience.
• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients’ needs, stressors, and mental health goals, ensuring therapies are tailored to each individual.
• Lead and facilitate mindfulness exercises, guided meditation sessions, and breathing techniques during therapy, assisting clients in their quests for better self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Organize and conduct group workshops focusing on mindfulness practices, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, fostering a supportive community environment.
• Incorporate mindfulness techniques into individualized therapy sessions to address specific mental health concerns, working collaboratively toward clients’ long-term goals.
• Document client progress accurately, maintaining detailed records of both client interactions and mindfulness interventions to support ongoing treatment strategies.
• Engage in continuous personal mindfulness practice to enhance professional skills and contribute to personal well-being, along with participation in professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a therapist at Finding Path, you will work with diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and various life challenges. We prioritize empowering clients through a holistic therapeutic lens, integrating mindfulness into conventional therapeutic methods, ultimately leading to improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Demonstrable proficiency in integrating mindfulness practices into therapeutic interventions.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to create a supportive, calming therapeutic atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy and conducting workshops on mindfulness and stress relief.
• Background in working within community-focused health settings is advantageous.
