Our Product Development and Management groups are vital to our success and are leaders in driving the future growth of UnitedHealth Group. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of product strategy with respect to value proposition, positioning, product portfolio(s), distribution and product features/function
  • Review product performance against expectations; formulate and recommend changes to achieve optimal performance
  • Innovate across the business in order to drive efficiency and growth; serve as a subject matter expert
  • Create cost-benefit analyses and frameworks to evaluate prioritization of new development
  • Influence innovation & integration across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across technology, marketing and service operations
  • Client interaction and engagement is expected
  • A directive style is a must

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of product management/product development experience
  • Client and executive presentation experience
  • Proven excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven to be self-directed individual with the ability to prioritize one's work
  • Proven to leverage critical thinking skills to arrive at solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with levels of ambiguity - can effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, comfortably handles risk and uncertainty
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals by working collaboratively with others in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and implement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and achieve goals
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment in a positive and supportive manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Health care experience
  • Business process experience
  • Team building and culture building experience
  • Experience in medical device and/or pharmacy management
  • Experience working in musculoskeletal program or other highly complex clinical areas
  • Strategy or consulting experience; or engineering/product design background
  • Demonstrated solid analytical abilities, organization and project/process management skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
