Job Description
Scientist, Advanced Clinical Innovation Partnerships (ACIP), IGTS, West Zone The Scientist, Advanced Clinical Innovation Partnerships is responsible for leading clinical data, AI-enabled innovation, and co-creation initiatives with strategically selected hospital partners across the Western United States. Operating at the intersection of clinical practice, artificial intelligence, and product innovation, this role supports the advancement of Image-Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems by translating unmet clinical needs into validated, scalable solutions aligned with the organization's value propositions and innovation roadmap.
Your role:
  • Serve as the primary clinical and scientific partner for strategic accounts across the Western United States, establishing trusted relationships with physician leaders, administrators, researchers, and Key Opinion Leaders in interventional cardiology and/or interventional radiology.
  • Support clinical and innovation activities at select partner institutions, including ideation workshops, feasibility assessments, and early validation efforts, translating unmet clinical needs into prioritized AI-enabled opportunities aligned with business strategy.
  • Enable clinical data acquisition and AI development by supporting the deployment and use of data-sharing infrastructure, cloud-based platforms, and advanced sensing capabilities at strategic sites.
  • Design, coordinate, execute, and or support scientific research and validation programs, including concept studies, feasibility work, and collaborative research or sponsor-supported studies, using rigorous protocols to demonstrate scientific merit, clinical impact, and workflow value in line with Clinical Development Strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional execution and regional impact by collaborating closely with engineering, product, regulatory, legal/IP, marketing, and strategy teams to ensure effective governance, program momentum, evidence generation, and translation of clinical insights into product roadmaps and customer value.

You're the right fit if:
  • You've acquired 3+ years of experience in the medical device and/or medica imaging industry, with specific experience in the image-guided therapy (IGT) domain, including technologies used to guide minimally invasive procedures in cardiology and/or interventional radiology. 5+ years preferred. Proven experience designing, executing, or supporting clinical investigations in hospital environments preferred. Prior industry experience in a customer-facing or partnership-oriented role is a must.
  • Your skills include working knowledge and practical experience with AI-enabled solutions and data-driven innovation in clinical or research settings; strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage with physician investigators, clinical researchers, hospital administrators, R&D, product and marketing teams, and commercial stakeholders.
  • You have a Master's degree (required) in biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering or a related discipline, with a demonstrated experience aligned to the scope and responsibilities of the role; PhD/MD strongly preferred.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset and strong project management skills. You are willing and able to travel up to 60% as required by business needs.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.
This is a field-based role, requiring someone based in PST or MST and near a major airport (preferred)

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in AZ, AR, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT, and WV are $96,188 to $153,900.
The pay range for this position in AL, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI, and WY are $101,250 to $162,000.
The pay range for this position in AK, DE, HI, MD, RI, and WA is $106,313 to $170,100.
The pay range for this position in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, DC, is $113,400 to $181,440.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
