This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling you to manage your schedule while maintaining a regular workweek from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. By utilizing telehealth services, you will connect with clients from the comfort of your home, ensuring that seniors have access to mental health resources no matter their location. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to thoroughly understand the emotional and psychological needs of elderly clients.
• Provide individualized counseling and group therapy sessions to help clients navigate challenges related to aging and life transitions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including doctors, nurses, and social workers—to develop and implement holistic care plans for clients.
• Educate caregivers and family members on effective strategies to support the mental well-being of elderly individuals, fostering a network of understanding and care.
• Facilitate grief and loss counseling sessions for clients and their families dealing with end-of-life issues, demonstrating compassion and expertise in sensitive circumstances.
• Design and implement cognitive and mental health stimulation programs that promote overall cognitive function and mental health engagement.

This role primarily focuses on serving elderly individuals who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and substance use issues. Our clients may also face issues related to life transitions such as retirement, health changes, and bereavement. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting these seniors, ensuring they receive empathetic care tailored to their unique life experiences.

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification, ensuring adherence to professional standards and practices.
• At least 4 years of recent experience providing geriatric mental health counseling and support.
• Additional training or certification in geriatric mental health strategies, therapeutic methodologies, or aging-related issues.
• Strong capability to conduct thorough evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with elderly clients and their families.
• Comprehensive understanding of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice.

• Experience in telehealth service delivery, including familiarity with virtual counseling platforms.
• Background in community health initiatives or programs specifically aimed at seniors.
• Proficiency in evidence-based mental health interventions suitable for the geriatric population.
• Cultural competence to effectively address the diverse backgrounds and needs of clients.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 65,000 to USD 95,000, commensurate with experience.
