Virtucom is seeking Hardware Computer Repair Technicians to join our new team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This full-time, in-person opportunity is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in IT hardware repair and support. As a Computer Repair Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and restoring the functionality of various devices-such as laptops and Chromebooks-ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction.


Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Full time position)

Work Location: In-person at Virtucom's West Palm Beach facility near the airport

Requirements

Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software, and drivers
  • Inspect and identify cosmetic and functional defects; document and report findings
  • Disassemble and reassemble devices using hand tools to replace or repair components (e.g., motherboards, bezels, keyboards)
  • Clean and adjust mechanical parts to ensure equipment runs efficiently and reliably
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and ticket resolutions in ticketing systems
  • Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
  • Communicate with leadership regarding inventory levels and part requests
  • Stay current with repair procedures, quality standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs)


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in computer repair (professional or DIY experience considered)
  • Strong understanding of PC architecture and operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS)
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to operate hand trucks and pallet jacks
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow instructions
  • Commitment to meeting or exceeding repair output expectations and SLAs
  • Preferred: CompTIA A+ certification or currently pursuing certification
