Job Title: Computer User Support Specialist

Salary: $23-$25 per hour depending on experience

Position Summary:
The Computer User Support Specialist supports the Director of Information Technology in the daily operations of IT systems for the Florida State Guard. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective performance, maintenance, and support of computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance to users, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain a reliable and secure IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of IT with day-to-day IT operations and support functions
  • Monitor and maintain performance of computer systems and network resources
  • Perform computer diagnostics and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, operating systems, and applications
  • Set up and deploy new equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Provide technical support to end users, including resolving help desk tickets in a timely manner
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of IT equipment and systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance
