This role operates in a remote setting, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while maintaining daily engagement with clients and team members via telehealth platforms. Our outpatient office dynamic fosters a supportive culture, prioritizing collaborative case management and ongoing professional development. Your regular workweek will be from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying individual emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focused on coping strategies and emotional resilience related to aging challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create individualized mental health care plans, integrating input from various health professionals.
• Provide education and support to family members and staff on effective strategies to enhance the well-being of elderly individuals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing grief and loss, especially for residents experiencing end-of-life transitions.
• Design and deliver cognitive stimulation activities to promote mental acuity, thereby improving overall mental health among senior clients.

This role is centered on working with elderly individuals facing diverse mental health challenges. You will engage with clients who are navigating significant life transitions, including loss of loved ones, retirement, and health-related changes. Your work will significantly impact their quality of life by providing them with tools and strategies to manage their emotions, cope with grief, and achieve overall mental wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is mandatory.
• At least 4 years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support, specifically focused on elderly populations.
• Proficient understanding of evidence-based practices tailored to the mental health needs of older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect and build rapport with seniors and their families.

• Additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health and aging-related issues is preferred.
• Proven experience in providing therapeutic services to seniors coping with various mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with legal and ethical standards in geriatric mental health counseling.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 65,000 to 95,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
