Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailored to their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
  • Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies for self-care, providing ongoing support and empowerment.
  • Monitor and document patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving needs and responses to therapy.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Stay current with the latest research in mental health treatment, specifically pertaining to mood disorders, to continuously improve therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Many of our clients face unique challenges such as homelessness or past trauma, including domestic abuse. You will be instrumental in providing care that promotes holistic healing and resilience, helping individuals navigate their path toward recovery.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a secure and therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • A strong empathetic disposition with a nonjudgmental demeanor towards clients' experiences and challenges.
  • Proficient organizational and time-management skills to handle administrative tasks and an effective workload efficiently.
