Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to a caseload of students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders through individual, group, and family therapy.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement integrated care plans that address the unique needs of each student.
• Conduct evidence-based screening and assessments, utilizing appropriate methodologies to ensure effective evaluation and treatment planning.
• Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights and strategies to improve therapeutic outcomes and foster a cohesive approach to care.
• Monitor treatment progress, documenting client interactions, treatment strategies, and outcomes in a timely manner to maintain compliance and quality assurance.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, responding promptly to emergencies within the school environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay abreast of the latest therapeutic practices and community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves students in a school setting who are facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral disorders. By providing culturally competent care and understanding the diverse backgrounds of students, you will help create safe spaces for them to express their feelings and develop coping strategies. Your contribution is vital in fostering resilience and empowerment among the youth you serve.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• A current LCSW license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a strong preference for experience in school or community mental health environments.
• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices relevant to child and adolescent mental health.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school system or providing school-based mental health services.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and insurance reimbursement processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
