Remote Compressor Operator - Manage Natural Gas Compression from a Centralized or Remote Location!
Are you an experienced compressor operator seeking an opportunity to oversee critical natural gas operations with a flexible and focused role? What You'll Do:
  • Operate and monitor vapor recovery units and natural gas compression equipment, ensuring optimal system performance
  • Adjust operating parameters to maintain pressure, flow, and efficiency according to operational requirements
  • Perform routine inspections, log equipment data, and identify irregularities or potential issues
  • Carry out minor maintenance, assist with repairs, and troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Recognize mechanical or process deviations; escalate issues to maintenance and technical teams appropriately
  • Follow all safety protocols, maintain accurate operational records, and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Utilize digital control systems and data entry tools to document activities and support reporting

What You Bring:
  • 2-5 years of experience in gas compression, oil & gas operations, or industrial maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and process control systems
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals confidently
  • Knowledge of HMI systems and control room operations (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a 14/14 rotation schedule-12-hour shifts on day and night rotations, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and in a flexible environment
  • Certifications like OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR, or DOT OQ are a plus

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred
  • Prior experience in natural gas compression, industrial maintenance, or oil & gas sectors

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Capability to operate in a remote or centralized environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions
