THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to support their growing sales organization. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a critical role in expanding sales capacity by qualifying leads and booking discovery conversations for Account Executives. You’ll help organizations, primarily within the public sector, reimagine how they connect with and engage their communities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound and outbound prospects interested in improving community engagement and public participation.

  • Conduct outbound prospecting efforts primarily via phone, with additional outreach through email and social media.

  • Respond promptly to inbound demo and information requests.

  • Educate prospective customers on how our client’s platform enables meaningful public feedback and engagement.

  • Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives.

  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth handoffs of qualified opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospect interactions in the CRM system.

  • Track outreach activity and performance against key monthly metrics.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a customer-facing role, preferably in SaaS or technology.

  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging prospects via phone, email, and social platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when documenting activity in a CRM.
