We are seeking a highly detail-oriented individual to join our Customer Service Team and support customers by processing orders, providing product information, and resolving customer concerns quickly and professionally. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle inquiries efficiently are essential to maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Review, proof, and accurately enter customer orders into the system.
  • Monitor and process orders received via email, text message, and voicemail.
  • Verify order quantities, pricing, and product details for accuracy.
  • Correct order errors and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Contact customers regarding product availability, shortages, and suitable substitutions.
  • Accurately process high volumes of purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped on schedule.
  • Create packing lists, invoices, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and other shipping documents.
  • Handle incoming customer calls, emails, and messages while resolving issues professionally.
  • Process Return Authorizations and customer credits as needed.
  • Provide freight quotes to customers and internal team members.
  • Develop strong product knowledge across all seafood and specialty items offered.
  • Maintain organized files, customer records, and databases.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/ERP systems.
  • 1-2 years of customer service and phone handling experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or a related industry preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry and order processing.
  • Fast learner with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proven experience providing excellent customer support and client service.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional phone, email, and customer service etiquette.
  • Strong memory and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient math and inventory calculation skills.

Work Hours and Availability:
This is a part-time, hybrid remote position based in San Francisco. Training will take place in-office for the first 4-8 weeks to ensure a smooth onboarding process and hands-on learning experience. After training is completed, the position will transition to a hybrid-remote schedule.
Schedule:
  • 2 days per week
  • Monday & Tuesday evenings: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

* Candidates must be available to work occasional weekends, and flexibility with scheduling is required based on business needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
The pay scale for this position is $22.50 - $31.25 per hour. Employee benefits are available for all qualifying employees, including paid time off, medical, vision, and dental insurance. In addition, employees receive fresh seafood products and company merchandise at cost plus 10%.
