Are you the digital native who's always first to learn the ins and outs of a new system release? Are you the go-to co-worker for pro tips or tech support?
If so, you may be the tech-savvy Digital Operations Specialist we're looking for. As we grow our virtual team, we need someone to specialize in what we are calling "digital operations" - think office manager for the virtual workplace. So if you're a natural at keeping up with ever-evolving technologies, training folks on new platforms, and you're looking to build your system admin or IT experience: You might be an Idealist!

The Digital Operations Specialist is a full-time role on our Operations Team.
Candidates must currently reside in one of the following locations to be considered for this role: California, Colorado, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, or Washington. We are unable to consider candidates residing outside these locations at this time.
How You'll Contribute:
  • Facilitate the selection, use and adoption of Idealist Consulting's tech stack
    • Monitor new system releases, software updates, security compliance requirements, and exceptions
    • Facilitate platform renewals by auditing staff license use, anticipating needs, and adjusting as needed
    • Facilitate digital tool procurement process
    • Facilitate annual techstack reviews
  • Maintain data governance standards including file organization and permission sets
  • Coordinate relationship with third-party IT support vendor including equipment and security monitoring
    • Security committee participation
    • Spearhead internal adoption initiatives
  • Maintain company equipment inventory in Salesforce
  • Drive user adoption of existing tools
    • Train Idealist Consulting team on usage norms
    • Create tip sheets
    • Monitor #helpdesk and provide troubleshooting support
  • Drive internal adoption and best practices for internal AI usage
    • Project manage AI adoption plans and training
    • Be an active collaborator in the AI committee
    • Lead the AI focus group
    • Become an in-house Anthropic expert

Your Background Includes:
  • Base line:
    • 4-5 years of professional experience, preferably in operations or IT
    • Experience in training and onboarding individuals to cloud based solutions
    • Natural tech-savvy with enthusiasm for growing this experience
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Systems thinker with a growth mindset
    • Previous experience working with remote teams
    • Comfortable working in Google Suite, Slack, and Salesforce (or other CRM)
  • Extra Credit:
    • Admin experience in Salesforce or other systems
    • Empathy for sci-fi nerdery (especially Star Trek)
