What is a remote operations manager?

A Remote Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating business operations from a remote location rather than a traditional office setting. This role typically involves managing teams, workflows, and processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals, all while leveraging digital tools and communication platforms. Remote Operations Managers must be skilled in virtual leadership, project management, and problem-solving to effectively support distributed teams. Their duties often include monitoring key performance indicators, implementing process improvements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations despite geographical distances.

What does a remote operations manager do?

The job duties of a remote operations manager involve managing a production process or the provision of a service. As a remote operations manager, you work from home to monitor business operations, plan a budget, and come up with strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and profits. Some of your job responsibilities vary depending on the industry in which you work. In fields such as production, you oversee quality assurance (QA) operations. In all positions, you coordinate with employees and departments and run meetings virtually. Some jobs require you to visit work or production sites occasionally.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote operations manager, and why are they important?

To succeed as a Remote Operations Manager, you need strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills, usually supported by a relevant degree and operations experience. POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Operations Engineer/GTM Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating the technical infrastructure that powers EnableComp's account-based demand generation motion. This role sits at the intersection of Revenue Operations and Marketing, translating buying signals, catalysts, and triggers (M&A activity, leadership changes, RCM technology contract expirations, RFP activity, hiring patterns, and other intent data) into prioritized, enriched, and routed target accounts inside HubSpot. The GTM Engineer owns the tooling, data pipelines, and workflow automation connecting Clay, HubSpot, and other GTM systems, ensuring Marketing and Sales are always working the highest-propensity accounts with accurate, enriched data and minimal manual effort.

The Job Responsibilities Include
  • Build and maintain automated workflows in Clay that identify and score ABM signals, catalysts, and triggers (e.g., executive changes, M&A, technology contract expirations, RFPs, hiring surges) across target health system and physician group accounts.
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue Operations to design and maintain the HubSpot architecture (lists, workflows, lifecycle stages, lead scoring, and routing rules) that operationalizes signal-based account prioritization.
  • Develop and maintain integrations and data pipelines between Clay, HubSpot, enrichment/intent data providers, and internal systems (e.g., CRM, data warehouse) using APIs, webhooks, and native connectors.
  • Analyze account and contact-level data to identify patterns in signal quality, conversion, and pipeline impact, refining scoring models and enrichment logic accordingly.
  • Lead the technical build-out of net-new ABM campaigns, ensuring signal capture, enrichment, and routing logic are in place before launch.
  • Conduct regular audits of data quality, deduplication, and enrichment accuracy across HubSpot and Clay to maintain a clean, reliable source of truth for GTM teams.
  • Coordinate with Sales Development, Partnerships, and Client Services to ensure signal-qualified accounts are routed to the right owner with appropriate context and timing.
  • Evaluate new GTM tools, data providers, and automation opportunities that could improve signal detection, targeting precision, or operational efficiency.
  • Identify gaps or bottlenecks in the demand generation tech stack and workflows, and design scalable solutions in partnership with Marketing and RevOps leadership.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent practical experience considered
  • 3+ years of experience in a GTM Engineering, Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations role, ideally within B2B SaaS or healthcare technology
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise administering HubSpot (workflows, lists, lifecycle stages, lead scoring, reporting) in a marketing or revenue operations capacity
  • Direct experience building enrichment and signal-detection workflows in Clay, including use of formulas, integrations, and waterfall enrichment
  • Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and no-code/low-code automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make) to connect GTM systems
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) concepts, intent data providers, and B2B enterprise buying committees
  • Strong SQL or spreadsheet-based data analysis skills; comfort working with large, imperfect data sets
  • Timely and regular attendance.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Special Considerations & Prerequisites
  • Minimal travel required (less than 20%), primarily for occasional team or company offsites
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods; standard office or remote work environment
  • A great candidate is self-directed and comfortable owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems; treats data hygiene as non-negotiable; and can translate technical workflows into plain-language impact for Sales and Marketing stakeholders
  • Practices and adheres to EnableComp's Core Values, Vision and Mission.
