  • Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address emotional difficulties related to aging, loss, and life transitions, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, contributing insights and recommendations to enrich individualized care strategies for geriatric residents.
  • Offer educational resources and training for families and facility staff aimed at enhancing the emotional well-being and overall quality of life for seniors.
  • Facilitate grief and loss counseling, supporting clients and their families through challenging end-of-life discussions and decisions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on elderly clients who may be dealing with age-related issues, grief from the loss of loved ones, or adjustments during significant life changes. This role centers on fostering a supportive environment where seniors feel safe to share their challenges and work through them with your guidance.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, equipping you with advanced knowledge in mental health practices.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, with a strong emphasis on working with geriatric populations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with clients, encouraging open conversations about sensitive issues.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and an eagerness to stay informed on best practices within the field of geriatrics.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, as it will enhance your ability to adapt to our virtual services framework.
  • Experience in providing crisis intervention and management strategies tailored to elderly clients dealing with mental health challenges is a plus.
  • Familiarity with culturally competent practices and sensitivity toward the unique experiences of diverse senior populations will set you apart.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive yearly salary in the range of USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and the number of hours worked. In addition to a desirable salary, you will be eligible for a lucrative sign-on bonus, making your compensation package particularly appealing.

  • A flexible work schedule allows you to create hours that suit your personal and professional needs, whether as your main source of income or as a supplementary role.
  • All marketing costs are covered by the organization, relieving you of the burden of client acquisition and allowing you to focus solely on providing care.
