Role: Color Designer - Footwear/Apparel

Location: Beaverton, OR (PHK) โ€“ Onsite | Fridays Remote

Contract: 6+ Months


We are seeking a Color Designer 3 to join a dynamic Product Line Team supporting multisport categories including football, training, golf, and other sport-related projects. This role will focus on creating compelling color stories, seasonal palettes, and product color applications that connect with consumers and elevate product experiences across footwear and apparel.


Responsibilities

  • Develop seasonal color concepts, palettes, and color applications for multisport product categories.
  • Translate consumer insights, trend research, and cultural influences into impactful color narratives.
  • Create and communicate color stories through both digital and physical palette development.
  • Apply strong understanding of color theory, color placement, color compatibility, and material interactions.
  • Collaborate with Product Line, Design, and cross-functional teams throughout the product creation process.
  • Support product storytelling through innovative and consumer-focused color solutions.
  • Organize, capture, and communicate color direction using digital and physical tools.
  • Ensure alignment between color direction, seasonal concepts, and product strategies.


Qualifications

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in Footwear and/or Apparel Color Design.
  • Strong knowledge of color theory, color trends, color mixing, color compatibility, color placement, and materials.
  • Strong aesthetic sense with an understanding of streetwear, sport culture, and consumer trends.
  • Passion for sports, design, and product storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field.
  • Experience supporting footwear or apparel color design projects.
  • Digital AI design experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience within a global consumer products or athletic brand environment is highly preferred.
