Global Music Rights (GMR) is not your typical performance rights management organization. Our focus on licensing, surveying, and distributing public performance royalties to songwriters, composers and publishers; we represent some of the most iconic and influential music creators of our time. Built on transparency, innovation, and advocacy, GMR is reshaping how songwriters and composers are compensated for the performance of their work.
Your Role
This full-time position will be a part of a Sales Development Program designed to provide you with the tools to grow into an Associate Licensing Director role in 18-24 months.
Sales Development Representatives (SDR) will be responsible for generating sales opportunities and building sales pipeline with prospective customers at GMR. This role is designed to serve as a liaison between the prospects and sellers. One week of in-person training will be provided in Los Angeles, CA.
Location
This is a 100% remote role. Applicants must be in Phoenix, AZ; Nashville, TN; or Southern California to be considered for this role.
What You'll Do
  • Lead Generation: Drive lead generation activities for the sales team by cultivating high-quality opportunities.
  • Outreach: Engage with prospective customers through both cold and warm outreach, utilizing calls, emails, and social media.
  • Identification: Act as the initial point of contact to identify key decision makers and influencers within prospective organizations.
  • Introduction and Qualification: Engage with prospects to introduce GMR, understand their business and music usage, and provide essential context on purchasing a license.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Qualify and develop leads from marketing campaigns, utilizing social media and other channels to identify potential customers' music usage during the sales process.
  • Meeting Scheduling: Arrange and schedule meetings with Licensing Directors to pitch and close deals.
  • CRM Management: Effectively manage all sales activities, notes, opportunities, and account information in Salesforce.com.
  • Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage the prospecting pipeline to ensure maximum efficiency and touchpoints per lead.
  • Sales Enablement: Follow sales scripts and leverage defined outreach cadences and sequences using sales engagement software such as Outreach.io.
  • Develop Sales Skills: Learn key sales skills to prepare successful SDRs to move into more senior sales roles at the company.

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 1+ years of prior experience in a professional work environment, with a preference for sales-related roles or heavy phone experience.
  • Strong phone and email skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of calls per day.
  • Proficient in navigating the internet and social media.
  • Willingness to adapt and learn, coupled with a highly coachable and flexible mindset.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
